Voice of Student: Rescuing an 18-Year-Old from Addiction
This week, our organization 'Voice of Student' (ছাত্র কণ্ঠস্বর) took an important initiative, where we brought an 18-year-old drug-addict teenager to the path of recovery.
A helpless mother came to us and described her son's plight. The 18-year-old is completely broken by drugs and has become a burden on his family. The mother's tearful voice pleaded, "Do something for my son," left a deep impression on our team members' hearts.
They quickly went looking for the young man and talked to him. During the conversation, he confessed to his drug addiction problem and became hopeful for our help. That's when our team decided to send him to a de-addiction center so that he could recover.
Our solemn hope - this initiative paves the way for a better, safer, and rejuvenated life. VOSBD strives to raise awareness among students and work for the welfare of society. In the future, we will take many more initiatives, and we hope we can stand beside many more helpless people of our society.
